Well i've been and done it - my assessment went really well even though i didn't get to do much - did riding in a straight line and slow handling with turns which my instructor said was really good to say the last time i sat on a bike was fifteen years ago! He recommended that i take my cbt and thinks that i'd have no trouble in passing it - gonna phone on thursday and see when i can do it! :D :D

suppose it is a bit out of town
its just to the left of leeds below pudsey
by the sound of your assessment it looks like you did a mini cbt but with out going on the road
you will be ok just relax an listen to what your instructor tells you
you will be suprised how easy it was when you pass it :D

Hi

Postby razzer13 on Thu May 24, 2007 9:26 pm

Yeah it was kinda like doing a mini cbt - i was surprised (and still am) how well the instructor said i did - last time (15 years ago!) i didn't use an earpiece and it was good to be coached thru it - i am a bit nervous about going onto the roads for the first time but i'm sure i'll cope! i've waited a loooong time for this so i'm not gonna mess it up this time! :D

Hi

Postby razzer13 on Fri May 25, 2007 8:40 pm

I haven't got a bike yet - was waiting to see how the assessment & cbt went first before i jumped straight in - was thinking of getting a 125 first but no idea what yet - when i first did the (failed) CBT fifteen years ago i always liked the look of the TZR 125 so maybe something similiar if there is anything like that out nowadays? :D

hi gary
ave been away couple of days just got back :(
tzr very good bike depending on your size and build
trouble is the last ones made will be getting on for
ten years old now and probibly bin thrashed to death
if it was me i wud be looking at honda,s cg125/yamahas sr125
two three years old not gonna let you down just basic bikes
cheap to repair cheap to run cheap to insure
ok so after a while they will get boring to ride but each time you go
out on it you will be building up confidense towards getting a bigger
cc bike

Hi

That sounds ideal for a complete beginner like me - just wanna get used to riding first so i just need something basic to get me started then when i've got used to that then i can think about something bigger and better! :)
