Good textile gear?

Postby Durbs on Fri Oct 12, 2007 1:49 pm

Can anyone recommend any decent waterproof and well armoured textile gear suitable for going over my work clothes?

Want to take the bike to work but my gear is all leather with no room for owt underneath and the hassle of having to swop over to shirt/tie/suit when getting there and heading home makes it not worth doing.

Dont want to spend a huge amount but also dont want to compromise on safety so what kecks/jacket/one-piece are a good bet?

how much is not too much? my jacket was £200 from hein gericke (not cheap but decent gear) in newcastle back protector etc in it. You really can spend anything from £50 to £300 per item no problems, just depends on what you want. Im sure robert can tell you what stock he can get as well as im sure he can get pretty much anything you would want.

Like fuse sez how much is not to much

A few months ago my wife brought a jacket and trousers
made by revitt from d & h autos in newcastle staffs
both the jacket an trousers ave armour they also have
removable liners so you can wear work clothes under them
and they not bad looking stuff for £250

best thing you can do imo is forget ebay and go around the
shops try on the gear see whose fits you then decide how much you
want to spend

My leather jacket was £big so dont really want to spend more than £120 on a second one. Kecks, i reckon around £75 tops.

thing is your coming to that time of year when texile stuff goes up in price cause of the cold weather coming

the best thing to do is to go to some clothing shops and try there stuff on
for that amount you should be able to pick something decent up

people like d&h /d&k stock a wide range of stuff from different
manufacturs at a wide range of prices

its no use giving you a name because there stuff might
not be comfortable or out of your price range

where abouts are you based :?:
