hey rob, remember when i brought a friend of mine to see you "smiffy" from the forum, last week? there was a chinese lad with us if you can remember with the red honda 600, on the way from your unit at the top of the bank he binned his bike on that red painted square on the road the council have just put on that relayed section of road, i just wanted to make you and everyone else on this forum ( if ever you visit rob again ) to be careful when going over that red square its highly dangerous and very slippy, and if i were you rob id get onto the local council authority about it, hes smashed all the right hand side of his bike up and hurt his right leg and had to go to hospital, so be careful there folks!

Sorry to hear that James

I have to say that whilst it is fairly new, and yes it can cause a problem if you approach too fast for the conditions, it is there for a reason. The biggest reason is the school opposite.

I hope your mate is ok, and I will certainly highlight this area to my pupils.

Did your mate get any witnesses? As to the cause, was it speed? Conditions? Did he take any photo's as to take it up with Congleton Borough Council?

there were a couple of witnesses and speed wasnt a factor, someone was washing their car in the road to the left and water had run over the red painted square making it lethal for 2 wheels so anyone who goes over that square needs to take extra care its highly dangerous and yes rob photos were taken :) ive also had word hes out of hospital lucikly there were no bones broken just heavy swelling
just thouight i would bring it to your attention as its the main route from your unit
