Mmm... have yet to decide on birthday celebrations. I know I'm out at the Nag's Head, Macc on Thurday... It's possible I may have a pint or three tomorrow as well :D

:D:D Aww shucks, I'm almost blushing... but thankfully I'm being a little too distracted by my new digital radio to do so! :D:D
Wow, a radio station that actually plays decent music!

Cheers guys! :D

Hiya :D

Been offline for a while as my bike is currently in a lot of bits. The carbs got clogged up with rust dust last week, which (combined with trying to ride the bike with its fuel tap switched off  ) resulted in me having to push my bike home (thankfully only half a mile). To cut a long story short, a knight in shining armour stopped to check I was ok and it turned out he is a mechanic. We sorted the carbs and are now in the process of giving the bike a major service... and pimping it!

New exhaust, K&Ns, new carb jets, advancing the ignition timing, chopping down the ugly front mudguard, doing something drastic about the rear mudguard (haven't quite decided what to do with it yet), painting the very crappy rear part of the frame, painting the swingarm black (yesssss!) and various other things... he's trying to convince me to paint the wheel rims black now as well!

I'll post pics when it's finally finished. Alternatively, just stick your head out of the window and listen for a beautiful purring sound, because that's what it'll sound like with the new exhaust! :D :D

Thats sounds enuff to be going on with :)
if your getting rust dust in your carbs you want to fit an inlne filter between tank an carbs
Black is the best colour made for a bike :D
glad to hear your ok
any news on job front yet :)

Yep, it's enough to keep me busy :D

Before dismantling the whole bike we just cleaned out the carbs. We did fit a fuel filter when we put the carbs back on and then we rode to Stockport. I took my bike and my mate took his GPZ. When I dropped back far enough from him to hear my own engine :!: it sounded so much better than it had before. :) I knew that previous grating noise wasn't supposed to be there...

I think we'll actually treat the tank for the rust before re-assembling the bike this time. He's trying to convince me to paint most of the bike black... it would look amazing, but I don't know if I can be bothered right now! As the sooner the bike is finished, the sooner I'll be off on my WWOOFing travels! (http://www.wwoof.org.uk)
