Hi all,
I'm selling my bike privately. If a potential buyer wants to test ride it will he need to have his own insurance or should I call my insurer and get cover for any rider?

Whichever you decide, don't let any potential buyer ride your machine without cover :D
If your potential buyer has no bike policy, chances are he won't be covered?
Probably worth you taking out a policy cover to make sure :D

If you sort out your own cover its not going to be cheap, they'll charge you a documentation fee for changing the policy, aswell as whatever extra they charge for the extra cover. Dont want to sound patronising and you probably already thought of this, but dont let anyone test ride your bike unless you have the full amount for the bike, in cash, in your hand.
