I've got my test coming up soon and although I've been driving for years I've come up against a couple of situations that I perhaps wouldn't think twice about in the car but am now wondering what would be expected on my test and I just wondered what others thought.
Situation 1. Traffic lights - this particular set has two lanes approaching. The right-hand lane has a right turn arrow painted in it, the left has a straight-on and right turn arrow (combined) painted in it. The main route through the lights is the right hand turn, which continues in two lanes (traffic moves through the lights to the right in two lanes). Straight on is a relatively minor road.
My question is - if you approach these lights in the left lane intending to go right (which is OK according to the arrows), should I be indicating right while in the lane waiting (or will this be seen as a misleading signal - making traffic think I want to move into the right-hand lane)?
Situation 2. waiting at a T junction to turn right. There is a queue in the road I'm turning into in the direction I want to go. More cars are approaching from my left to join the queue. One slows right down and flashes to let me in. On the test should I go or not?
Thanks
Rolo
