yup theyre a dream, but be warned ! theyre expensive to maintain are aprilias,
these 2 stroke engines require top quality oil which costs 12 quid a litre and they go thru it like mad, and also - the insurance group is 12 on them so theyre expensive to insure, but well worth it !

good luck with the cbt im sure youll be fine :)

James

p.s. thanks for the good wishes rob, hopefully theory test will be complete today and no need to go back for a repeat !
see you soon

Hi James!

Thanks for the support - i'm sure it will go fine - i'm a total newbie to all things bikewise but have always wanted a bike like yours - they sound expensive to run - guess thats one thing i'm gonna have to get used to as and when i get a bike!
What's the handling and braking like on the bike - is it suitable for someone new to riding or do you think i should start with something else?

Gary :D

they handle superby and the brakes are fantastic, great fun if you can afford the expensive maintenance costs, remember they need the BEST 2 stroke oil you can get or you will pay in the long run.

as learner bikes go mate i havent any experience on anything other than robs 125s but i reckon theyre easy once used to em i was in the same boat, i hadnt ridden a bike before and at 30 only just plucked up the courage to go and do cbt....also remember if u buy an aprilia 125 that they need some time to warm up before you take it out - say 5 mins or so otherwise they seize up really easily.

hope this helps cu soon mate :)
