Licence Question Please

Postby mopedmags on Sat May 19, 2007 3:16 pm

Hi
I passed my test 3 years ago & now can drive any size bike.
My question is do I need to send my licence to DVLA for further updating now the "2 year " restriction on bike size has passed?
Advice appreciated

hi mate welcome to the site
i think the answer to that one is no you do not have to tell the dvla that your 2yrs are up as they will already know
as soon as rob finishes his cbt's for the day he will let you know :D
Is this where i write something witty and
interesting

Hello,
Just finished CBT's for the day
The answer to the question, well done Ian, is you don't need to notify anyone.
On the reverse of your card licence the from date (day you passed your test) is shown with an expiry date.
Alongside the dates is the =25KW so if anyone (authority) needed to establish your (big bike) entitlement then they could do so by adding the 2 years.
This marking also shows the route you took to obtaining your license.
Hope this helps, How did you find the forum?

No problem! It's a new forum, started 13th April 2007, and already a good response.
Please tell your biking friends, newbies or not, we would welcome any encouragement that would assist new riders coming through
Where are you based then?
