Thanks for all your replies. As far as gaining experience years ago, yes, you never forget the basics, but my confidence today is not what it was back then. Somehow when you are young the word fear isn't in your vocabulary but when you get to 43 it's like it is stamped on your forehead, and there are so many cars on the roads today too

Sorry but Newcastle is a bit far for me to go for my test and the test centre in Lichfield is not far from me and I know the roads in Lichfield like the back of my hand, which helps

I have just got to get over my little incident last year when I came off, left me with a fear of turning right but I am getting better

Once the weather improves I shall be there, beware of mad woman riding 125 in Rugeley area. Most likely trying very very hard to follow a Kwak H2B and covered in 2 stroke oil and fumes
