Honda NT700V - load of rubbish!

Postby John (JT) on Mon Jun 18, 2007 10:17 am

I am the proud owner of a Honda Deauville NT700V
which I use for work. A great bike - comments in another part of this forum

Even treated it to an extra oil change between services. Thought it might
like that, And what does it do to repay this kindness..........

.......................It breakes down  So much for Honda Quality

Started with a knocking noise somewhere near the gear box and it
ws getting worse by the day. Went to my friendly Honda dealer
(C.G. Chell - Stafford...recommended :D ). Had the rear wheel out,
the shaft out and it appears that the transmission has a serious
fault in the gearbox. Damn.

Not to worry - only requires a full engine out, gearbox off, strip and
rebuild. 6 weeks wait.... No, No, NO! so I have rejected the thing
as unmerchantable and not fit for purpose.

New one comes on Wednesday :D but this time with ABS. In silver.

You have to laugh or cry.........I'm crying

It was a spanker.

6 weeks old, 3000 miles, 3 oil changes. Bugger!
