I'm starting a new thread because I want to leave the other thread behind me. Once again, thanks for the support from the forum members through my emotional couple of weeks.

Rob came to my house and we went out for my confidence boosting session. Had a few panicky moments when I lost him at the roundabout and at the traffic lights (my most dreaded spots). The road closed signs and cones on Congleton road totally threw as I was so intent on paying attention and obeying road signs (probably due to my car theory test today). A fellow scooterist at the traffic lights tried to my be friendly and waved me to park next to him. I was too nervous to move during red lights so had to ignore him. Felt a bit bad being rude  . Please excuse me if I don't return any greetings out there.

But, I managed my outing yesterday and feel so much better now. I no longer eye my SCV with contempt and fear as I did last week. :D So thanks again Rob. He didn't even accept tuition fee for the session (am I allowed to say? Might lead to hoards of people knocking at his door)

Speaking of nerves, I had been soaking up all the info and advice on this forum. I remember in another thread that someone suggested rescue remedy to you for your CBT. I went out to get some too. A couple of sprays and some minutes later, I felt my face and neck feeling warm so I went back to read the box. Grape alcohol. I'm one of the "Fortunate" ones who is allergic to alcohol. A sherry trifle would make me go bright red.

I bought some rescue pastilles instead (alcohol free) and was chewing on them whilst waiting for Rob on Thursday. Not sure whether they actually work or not but they taste ok.

I thought that the rescue remedy definitely helped, it didnt take away all the fear  but i didnt expect it to,i think alot of it is mind over matter :)
